Hilary Duff's Mad Dash Through LAX
Hilary Duff hit the airport on Friday for a mid-day flight, but not before she hit a wall of paparazzi first. The actress was swarmed by waiting photogs at Los Angeles International Airport from the moment she stepped out of her car. Hilary clutched the arm of her massive bodyguard for safety as the shutterbugs chased the star throughout the entire terminal.
But Duff wasn't the only famous traveler that had to deal with the cameras this weekend. Lindsay Lohan, Kiefer Sutherland and Alec Baldwin all battled the flashbulbs as they made their way through crowded airports across the globe. oh-hilary.com

$$$
In her stint as guest editor of Seventeen magazine's October issue, teen pop-culture phenom Hilary Duff raged against the credit card industry (in a G-rated hair-flip kind of way): "So many of my friends have started getting credit cards, and the banks don't really tell you how this works, like 'Do this, but don't do that,'" she said in an interview with MTV.
Around her Sweet 16 birthday three years ago, Hilary says, she began to pay more attention to the financial empire being built with her name. (Perhaps it's just a coincidence that around the same time, the plug was pulled on the Hilary Duff-branded prepaid Visa card.)
Today Duff pulls in about $15 million a year, according to Forbes. (Lindsay and Paris might want to flip through Seventeen for some tips: They earn an estimated $11 million and $6.5 million, respectively.)
Still, hardships, Hilary knows ... at least on the Hollywood sound stage. In the movie Material Girls, she and her real-life sis played heiresses who lose their fortune and (gasp!) have to learn to rough it in the real world. (Incidentally, IMDB.com reports that the flick was originally written for those other sisters -- Mary-Kate and Ashley.)
Hilary's not likely close to tilting out her credit limits any time soon. But even if she can't really relate, getting tweens to take notice of their finances (and ignore the pitches for her perfume and clothing line) is a worthy endeavor. And an uphill battle. oh-hilary.com

Hilary Duff dresses up Barbie!
Hilary Duff has collaborated with Mattel to create a line of clothes for a little girl’s best friend, Barbie.
The collection features 11 outfits, which include denim pieces, accessories and even fox fur. The ensembles are broken up into two categories, sweet and rocker, which "reflect Hilary's personal style."
This isn't Duff's first foray into the fashion biz. Hilary has a teen fashion label, Stuff by Hilary Duff, and earlier this year she guest edited an issue of Seventeen magazine, reports TMZ oh-hilary.com

Bulgaria "Charmed" Hollywood Star Hilary Duff
US movie star Hilary Duff is enjoying her first visit to Bulgaria, as she is shooting a Nu Image movie in the country's second city of Plovdiv.
Duff is charmed by what she has seen from the country so far, and she likes the people a lot, Producer Les Weldon told bTV.
The Hollywood teen is shooting a movie under the working title War Inc., with John Cusack, who is also the script-writer of the movie.
Cusack chose Bulgaria to shoot, because he has already filmed once in the country and was quite taken with it, Weldon explained.
Production in the country will continue for about two more months.
War Inc. is set in the future, when the desert country of Turagistan is torn by a riot after a private corporation, owned by the former US president, has taken over the whole state. Cusack plays the role of a hitman, who suppresses his emotions by gobbling down on hot sauce and is hired by the corporation's head to kill the CEO of their competitors. Everything changes when the ruthless killer finds himself head-over-heels in love with a sexy reporter, who is on the hunt for the truth behind the fake war. oh-hilary.com
